Recognize that, while certain individuals are supportive, they don’t do much. Others may not be good company, but are reliable. It’s easy to meet someone and grab a cup of coffee or a drink. But that’s not really spending time with them. Yet with life ever more complicated, when is there time? The secret? Make a “grown-up” playdate to set aside quality time with others. This isn’t just pleasant, it gives you a very special variety of emotional vitamin.
